BOOKING CONDITIONS OF BENNERLEY MAYFORD CYF (“BMA”) trading as The Rocks at Plas Curig Hostel

The person whose name appears on the Booking Form agrees to take full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to the Conditions of Let set out below:

  1. The number of people occupying the Property is limited to that stated on the website, unless by prior consent with the Owner.

  2. You must pay a minimum of 50% of the rental price on booking, with the remainder of the balance payable 28 days before your booking date. If a booking is made less than 21 days before the start of the booking date, please send the full rental charge at the time of booking. Failure to pay the balance of rental charges, or failure to allow BMA to take the balance by credit card by the due date (21 days prior to arrival), will result in BMA treating the Property as available for re-booking. No reminders are sent out.

  3. Please notify BMA of any cancellation in writing. If a notice of cancellation is received between the dates of your deposit being received and the final payment being due then the deposit will be retained unless the Property can be re-let. If cancellation is made within four weeks of the holiday start (i.e. the whole rent has been paid) then the whole amount paid will be retained unless the Property can be re-let. If a re-let is successful then a full refund will be made, less an administration fee of £25. If the Property cannot be re-let then no refund will be given.

  4. To safeguard against cancellation charges & other unforeseen eventualities we strongly recommend Cancellation Insurance.

  5. In the event of a circumstance of “Force Majeure” which is defined as circumstances beyond the control of either Party, such as any Act of God, fire, flood, meteorological perturbation, explosion, war, act of terrorism, riots, civil commotion, revolution, blockade, embargo, strike, government action, official or regulatory intervention, BMA shall be entitled to suspend this Contract until such time when the circumstances constituting Force Majeure have disappeared. Any delegate’s reservation confirmed for the event on a date within the period of Force Majeure may be cancelled by BMA by written notice. Each Party shall nevertheless use its reasonable endeavours to alleviating the effects of such circumstances constituting Force Majeure, including agreeing upon alternative arrangements. A force majeure event could prevent you from enjoying your holiday, which is why it is essential that it is part of your travel insurance cover.

  6. Should the Property, subsequent to booking, become unavailable through any cause, you must accept that BMA’s liability is limited to the amount of any rent paid.

  7. You accept that the responsibility for personal property of guests occupying the accommodation is solely theirs. All vehicles are also left at the guests risk. Guests agree to absolve BMA of any responsibility for any accident or mishap to persons or property whilst on the premises or whilst engaged in any activity therein, or from any illness or injury arising from any causes whatsoever.

  8. You agree to use the Property solely for its intended purpose as self-catering accommodation and to accept the BMA’s right to refuse to hand over the Property to any person deemed unsuitable to take charge. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbours or other guests, unreasonable behaviour or disrupting the running of the business may result in BMA requesting you to leave.

  9. You agree to allow BMA access to the Property at all reasonable times. We will only ever request access to your property in case of an emergency, e.g. a water leak, electricity blackout etc.

  10. You must respect and look after your accommodation during your stay and you must leave the Property clean and tidy. Please let us know of any damage or breakages so we can repair or replace them for the next guests. We reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages on the card used to book either the hostel or the cottage, with the minimum being £50 per item broken.

  11. You must vacate the Property by 10am at the latest on your day of departure unless special arrangements have been made with the Owner. This is to allow us to prepare the Property for the next guests.

  13. The use of your own personal electrical equipment is out of our control from a Fire Assessment Regulation perspective, and must therefore be at your own personal risk.

  14. Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.

  15. BMA reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.

  16. It is the guests duty to ensure that the property is left clean on departure i.e. please empty bins, clean dirty dishes. BMA reserves the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.

  17. Pets on furniture or smoking anywhere on the premises will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. This must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets or smoking will be at the expense of you.

  18. Damage to property – Please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. In the event that you notice damage in your accommodation please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action.
