The team at the Rocks at Plas Curig are here to help with planning your next Work away trip or Educational trip. We work with large businesses all over the UK along with Schools, Colleges, and Universities.

We offer exclusive hire accommodation in a central location in the Eryri National Park. Walks from the front door, great facilities, comfortable beds, strong relationships with local caterers and lots of help with planning your trip.

Capacity and Layout

Being a former YHA hostel the layout has been designed for large groups. It is a superb mix of open plan communal areas, comfy private rooms & dorm-style rooms, a large dining room, a user-friendly commercial-style kitchen and a dry room for kit and muddy boots.

It has ample space for outdoor learning and private parking for cars, minibusses and storage trailers.

The hostel sleeps up to 59 individuals across 14 rooms and 8 private bathrooms, with 47 single beds and 6 doubles. The hostel also has an adjoining 8-person cottage which is perfect for senior team members, staff, caterers or just for more space.

See the link below for the room break down. Please note all bunk-style beds are tastefully built into the room.

Come for a look around

If you would like to see the place and have a show round, please do not hesitate to get in touch and book in for a no-obligation tour, generally afternoons between 2 - 4 pm work well. We are happy to help and discuss your requirements on the tour to ensure you get the best from your trip.

Catering during your stay

We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Depending on your requirements we can help with arranging a caterer and this can include fully catering for your trip or just providing breakfast & packed lunches or information on supermarket food deliveries for the day of your arrival.

Space to Learn

Our communal areas are large and open, perfect for either bringing your group together or splitting groups up for indoor talks and activities. We have two large lounge areas and an open lobby, a dining room and an outside decking area overlooking Snowdon. Additionally, we have high-speed fibre Wifi connected to every area and room of the hostel.

We have great nature walks from the hostel door, with Bryn Engan woodland and Moel Siabod opposite and the smaller peaks of Clogwyn Mawr and Crimpiau behind, all accessible by foot.

Organising your trip

Our team knows the area surrounding the hostel very well. We also have built a recommended list of local activities and are happy to help as much or as little as you would like.

Health, Safety & Security

The hostel is a secure environment with security codes needed to access the building, and with separate keys for all the bedrooms. We also have live-in on-site staff for emergency contact.

We fully comply with Fire Regulations. All rooms have smoke detectors and fire extinguisher points are well located around the building. Our fire system and extinguishers are tested annually to meet regulations.

If you have any particular requirements or concerns, please share them with us and we will do everything we can to ensure that they are addressed.
